Why do I need to select Security Questions?

We have adopted enhanced authentication as a risk management practice. When your Log On information — such as your browser type, operating system or geographic location — does not correspond to your usual activity pattern, we may prompt you to answer your previously selected Security Questions.

Can clients or other registered users opt out of the new security process?

No. For your protection and for regulatory reasons, you will not be allowed to opt out of the security process.

Certain federal agencies and groups, such as the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) have recommended the "implementation of appropriate risk mitigation strategies including security measures to reliably authenticate customers accessing their financial institutions' Internet-based services."
